Headache Treatment

About 45 million Americans experience chronic headaches and many don't seek treatment or self-medicate. Using an underutilized therapy, Dr. Edderai can safely and effectively eliminate the source of your pain and end your suffering. After headache treatment with Dr. Edderai, you'll no longer require toxic medications or radical therapies. SPG block may be the solution for which you've been waiting.

The Sphenopalatine ganglion (SPG), also known as the nasal ganglion, is the largest nerve center outside of the brain cavity. Located behind the sinus cavity, it relays messages sent from other nerves throughout the body. Many scientists believe that the SPG causes "referral" symptoms in the face, head, neck, shoulders, and lower back for pain experienced in the neck vertebrae. Research supporting this claim was published in the 1930's, and SPG block has been largely underutilized as an effective treatment for headaches since that time.

To block the SPG, Dr. Edderai applies a small amount of anesthetic to the tissue that separates the throat from the nasal passages. Using a cotton tip applicator, he holds the anesthesia to the tissue for 45-60 minutes, which effectively blocks the SPG nerve. Using this technique, Dr. Edderai can control 80% of severe headaches.

Some patients may experience minor side effects, such as nose and throat scratchiness or irritation. Allergic reaction to the anesthesia is extremely rare, and most side effects can be avoided when an expert, such as Dr. Edderai, performs the procedure.

Dr. Edderai proudly offers SPG block to his patients as a much needed alternative to common headache treatments, including harmful medications and risky surgeries. With SPG block, you'll no longer have to suffer the chronic, nagging headache pain that prevents you from living your life to the fullest.
